Grayson Willis Bennett
Specialist Criminal Law Practice
About Us
Grayson Willis Bennett was formed in 1999 as the first specialist criminal practice in Sheffield. In 2006 the company expanded with the addition of the criminal law department from Irwin Mitchell solicitors and in 2008 with the opening of a Rotherham Office and the creation of specialist prison law and VHCC departments. This has served to create one of the leading defence teams in the north of England with a nationwide reputation.
At a time when many practices are withdrawing from criminal legal aid work our firm has actively expanded our range of skilled personnel. Our partners and staff are passionately dedicated to defending individuals facing prosecution in the criminal courts.
We have Higher Courts Advocates and “in house” Counsel, a prison law expert and are members of the VHCC panel capable of dealing with the most complex of cases.

Michael Jones is the Chairman of the Criminal Law Solicitors Association which represents solicitors and those working in law firms in the field of criminal law throughout England and Wales in ensuring that the voice of the defence is heard in the operation of the criminal justice system.
